Future industry is an important engine of new quality productivity, representing the long-term development direction of science and technology and industry, and can form an important support and great driving role for the national economy. This year’s government work report pointed out that it is necessary to establish a growth mechanism for future industrial investment and cultivate future industries such as bio-manufacturing, body intelligence and 6G. To this end, Zhaopin Recruitment analyzed the supply and demand of talents in the future industry based on the big data of recruitment and job hunting in February.
Bio-manufacturing: the recruitment of pharmaceutical engineers increased by 40%, and the average monthly salary of pharmaceutical synthesis posts was 15,633 yuan.
In recent years, rapid progress has been made in the field of biological manufacturing, especially in the application of microbial synthesis in green chemical industry and drug research and development, additive manufacturing technology in the production of personalized medical implants, and the application of biomaterials in the fields of energy and environment. The rapid growth of market scale has driven the demand for talents to increase.
According to Zhaopin’s recruitment data, in February 2025, the number of positions for pharmaceutical engineers, pharmaceutical synthesis engineers and polymer materials engineers increased by 38.9%, 12.8% and 6.2% respectively. In terms of the year-on-year growth rate of the number of job seekers, these occupations have increased greatly, with growth rates of 243.9%, 130.2% and 125.4% respectively; The average monthly salary for recruitment is 15,633 yuan for pharmaceutical synthesis engineers and 13,919 yuan for polymer materials engineers, and 9,358 yuan for pharmaceutical engineers.
Embodied intelligence: robot algorithms and industrial robot engineers are booming in supply and demand.
Embodied intelligence refers to the ability of intelligent system to realize learning and reasoning by interacting with the environment and using the body’s perception and movement ability. Compared with artificial intelligence, it relies more on abstract symbolic calculation, and embodied intelligence emphasizes the integration of artificial intelligence into physical entities such as robots, so the related occupations of embodied intelligence are mostly related to robots.
According to Zhaopin’s recruitment data, in February 2025, the recruitment demand of robot algorithm engineer, robot debugging engineer and industrial robot engineer increased by 41.4%, 57.5% and 6% respectively, and the average monthly salary was 25,786 yuan, 9,115 yuan and 12,653 yuan respectively. Broad development prospects and generous salary have attracted a large number of talents to invest in the field of body intelligence. The number of job seekers in the three positions has increased by 204.7%, 245% and 168.3% year-on-year, with both supply and demand increasing.
The competition for the 6G track started, and the demand for telecom network engineers surged by 279%.
This year, 6G first appeared in the government work report, and the layout of 6G in various places has also been opened. The Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission said that it will lay out the 6G industry ahead of schedule; Shanghai also proposes to strengthen the forward-looking, strategic, systematic and driving research layout around strategic frontier areas such as 6G. From April 10th to 12th, 2025 Global 6G Technology and Industrial Ecology Conference will also be held in Nanjing.
In the job market, in February 2025, the recruitment of telecom network engineers increased significantly, reaching 279%, and the number of job seekers also increased by 563.4% year-on-year. With the acceleration of informatization and digitalization, enterprises pay more and more attention to network infrastructure construction and network security protection, which provides a broad employment space for telecom network engineers. The recruitment of core network engineers and base station engineers also increased by 40-60% year-on-year. (Economic Daily reporter Gu Yang)
