According to the relevant regulations, local statistical data are generally released by local statistical agencies, and the National Bureau of Statistics also provides access to some local statistical data for the convenience of users.

First, the main channels to obtain from local statistical agencies

The official website of local statistical agencies is the main channel to obtain local statistical data. The websites of provincial statistical bureaus publish the main indicators of the province.

The statistical yearbook edited and published by local statistical agencies is another important channel to obtain local statistical data. Statistical institutions of provincial and prefecture-level cities (regions, autonomous prefectures and leagues) publish local statistical yearbooks and release major annual data.

In addition, provincial statistical agencies also release major local statistical data by holding quarterly or annual press conferences; Provincial statistical agencies and statistical agencies of some prefecture-level cities (regions, autonomous prefectures and leagues) have opened platforms such as Weibo WeChat or client to publish statistical data; Some areas have developed statistical databases to publish or provide local progress or annual statistical data; Some local statistical agencies have published consultation telephone numbers through official websites to accept public data consultation.

Second, the main channels obtained from the National Bureau of Statistics

In order to facilitate the public to obtain regional statistical data, the National Bureau of Statistics provides the main economic and social indicators data at the provincial level through data publishing libraries and statistical publications. The data release database of the National Bureau of Statistics has a special "regional data" column, which provides the monthly, quarterly and annual major indicators of 31 regions (Figure 1). Various statistical publications of the National Bureau of Statistics also provide local annual statistical data. For example, the Statistical Yearbook of China and various professional statistical yearbooks all contain provincial-level sub-regional data in related fields; China City Statistical Yearbook and China County Statistical Yearbook (County Volume) respectively include the main social and economic indicators of cities and counties (cities).
